Inviting a family to your carpool group
The invitation link is valid for 14 days and can be used once. An invited family can always take part free of charge. Takes about 1 minute.
Up to date
Open the group's page
Choose "Kuskausringit" (Carpool groups) in the bottom bar and the group you are inviting to. Only the group's owner can invite.
Create the invitation link
Under "Kutsu perhe" (Invite a family), tap "Luo kutsulinkki" (Create invitation link).
Send the link
Tap "Jaa kutsu" (Share invitation), WhatsApp or "Kopioi linkki" (Copy link). Send the link only to the family you want in the group. The link is shown only this once.
Create a separate link for each family
One link works for one family.
If something does not work
- There is no "Kutsu perhe" (Invite a family) section.
- Only the group's owner can invite. Ask the owner to create the link.
- The screen says "Kutsulinkkejä on luotu liian monta lyhyessä ajassa. Odota hetki ja yritä uudelleen." (Too many invitation links in a short time.)
- The number of invitation links is limited. Wait and try again later.
What does the invited family see before joining?
Before signing in, they see the group's name. After signing in, they also see the activity, the name of the family that invited them and how many families are in the group. The invitation shows no children's names.
Does joining cost anything?
No. An invited family can always take part free of charge.
Can a group's invitation link be cancelled?
A group's invitation link cannot currently be switched off. So send it only to the family you want in the group.
