Adding a child to a carpool group
The group's other families see the first name or nickname of a child you add to it, and the child's rides in that group; they see a pick-up point only if your family has chosen to share it. The privacy policy has the details. Takes about 1 minute.
Up to date
Open the group's page
Choose "Kuskausringit" (Carpool groups) in the bottom bar and then the group.
Add the child
Under "Perheesi lapset ringissä" (Your family's children in this group), tap "Lisää rinkiin" (Add to group) next to the child. The status changes to "Osallistuu rinkiin" (In this group).
Remove if needed
Tap "Poista ringistä" (Remove from group) if the child no longer travels in this group.
If something does not work
- No children are listed.
- Add your children first in "Perhe › Perhe ja lapset › Lapset" (Family › Family and children › Children). The group's page also has a "Lisää lapset" (Add children) button.
- The screen says "Lapsen lisääminen rinkiin ei onnistunut. Yritä uudelleen." (The child could not be added. Try again.)
- Check your connection and try again.
Who can see my child's name?
Your own family's guardians, and the families of the carpool groups you have added the child to. Those families also see your family's name.
Can I choose the children when I join a group?
Yes. When you join with an invitation link, you can choose which of your children travel in the group. You can change this at any time on the group's page.
