Creating a carpool group
A carpool group is a set of families who take their children to the same activity. The family that creates the group is its owner: it adds the practice times and invites the other families. Takes about 2 minutes.
Up to date
Open Carpool groups
Choose "Kuskausringit" (Carpool groups) in the bottom bar. The form is under "Luo uusi rinki" (Create a new group). The start card in Today also has a "Perusta rinki" (Create a group) button.
Name the group
Fill in "Ringin nimi" (Group name) so that an invited family recognises it, for example the team's name. "Laji" (the sport or activity) is optional.
Create the group
Tap "Luo rinki" (Create group) and the group's page opens. On the "Perusta rinki" (Create a group) page you also choose whether the practice times come from a myClub calendar or are added by hand.
Continue on the group's page
Choose which of your children travel in this group, add the practice times and create an invitation link for another family.
If something does not work
- The screen says "Luo ensin perhe." (Create a family first.)
- A group is created for a family. Create your family first and then continue.
- The group's name is wrong.
- A group's name cannot currently be changed after it is created. Check the name before you tap "Luo rinki" (Create group).
Who can create a group?
Any guardian of the family. The group belongs to the whole family, and the family is its owner.
Next
- Adding a child to a carpool groupThe group's other families see the first name or nickname of a child you add to it, and the child's rides in that group; they see a pick-up point only if your family has chosen to share it. The privacy policy has the details.
- Inviting a family to your carpool groupThe invitation link is valid for 14 days and can be used once. An invited family can always take part free of charge.
