Inviting a second guardian
A second guardian sees the same children, carpool groups and rides, and can arrange rides for the family. The invitation link is valid for 14 days and can be used once. Takes about 2 minutes.
Up to date
Open Family › Family and children › Guardians
Choose "Perhe" (Family) in the bottom bar, then the row "Perhe ja lapset" (Family and children), and open "Huoltajat" (Guardians).
Create the invitation link
Tap "Kutsu toinen huoltaja" (Invite a second guardian). No email address is asked for.
Send the link
Tap "Jaa kutsu" (Share invitation), WhatsApp or "Kopioi linkki" (Copy link), and send the link only to the adult you want as a guardian. The link is shown only this once, so create a new one if you need it again.
The second guardian joins
They open the link, sign in with their own email and confirm. They do not create a family or add children.
If something does not work
- The link went to the wrong person.
- Remove the link under "Avoimet kutsulinkit" (Open invitation links) with the bin icon. The link stops working at once.
- The screen says "Kutsulinkkejä on luotu liian monta lyhyessä ajassa. Odota hetki ja yritä uudelleen." (Too many invitation links in a short time.)
- The number of invitation links is limited. Wait and try again later.
- The second guardian already belongs to another family.
- One account can belong to one family at a time, so they cannot join with that account.
The same child lives in two homes. What should we do?
Invite the adult from the other home as a guardian into the same family. That way the child is not in a carpool group twice.
Who can remove a guardian?
Only the family's owner. The owner cannot remove themselves or another owner.
