Adding and editing children
Adding a child asks only for a first name or nickname. Other families do not see a child you add until you add the child to a carpool group. Takes about 2 minutes.
Up to date
Open Family › Family and children › Children
Choose "Perhe" (Family) in the bottom bar, then the row "Perhe ja lapset" (Family and children), and open "Lapset" (Children).
Add a child
Type the child's first name or nickname into "Lapsen kutsumanimi" (Child's name) and tap "Lisää lapsi" (Add child).
Change a name
Edit the name in its own field. The "Tallenna" (Save) button appears once the name has changed.
Remove a child
Tap the bin icon and confirm with "Poista" (Remove). The child is removed from the family and from every carpool group, and this cannot be undone.
If something does not work
- The screen says "Perheessä on jo tämän niminen lapsi." (The family already has a child with this name.)
- Children in one family need different names. Use a nickname for one of them, or add a number after the name. The name is shown to the families of every carpool group the child is added to.
- The screen says "Kutsumanimi voi olla enintään 40 merkkiä." (The name can be at most 40 characters.)
- Shorten the name. A first name or nickname is enough.
Who in the family can add children?
Any guardian of the family.
